Riverton Fire and EMS employs 38 dedicated volunteer personnel ranging from college students to retirees. Department personnel train every Wednesday night on emergency medical and fire related material. In addition to this training members attend certified and licensed courses in firefighting and emergency medical services. Members obtain certificates in Fire Fighter II, Fire Fighter III, Fire Instructor, Fire Investigator, and more. These members that hold fire fighter certificates are designated by their information below their title on this web site. Also members obtain licensures in EMT-Basic and EMT-Paramedic and these members licensures are designated by their title. Riverton Fire and EMS also has 10 officers that are highly trained and certified. With in these officers are 3 Department Chiefs (Chief and 2 Deputy Chiefs), 1 Safety Officer, 3 Captains, and 3 Lieutenants. In addition to the operational membership Riverton Fire and EMS also has 5 elected district board members who perform financial and also oversee department function.
