Many of these apparatus have untold stories, but what is known is they were all either owned by Riverton Volunteer Fire Department or its predecessor (both a predecessor of Riverton Fire and EMS). Below are an image collage of those early apparatus which can be enlarged by clicking on the image.

This apparatus appears to be one of Riverton's earliest and the lettering Riverton can be seen on the back of the vehicle as well as RFD on the engine compartment.

Designated as Engine #2 this engine appears to be a Diamond-T and is one of four that was purchased.

Engine #4 appears in front of old station 2 and as well is a Diamond-T.

This apparatus is the same pictured to the left. It was repainted red and lettering was added.

This tanker was given to the fire department and was a retired military vehicle

Engine #6 on a GMC chassis appears in front of old station one.

This tanker was also given to the fire department and was a retired military vehicle.

This Willy appears in front of old station one.

Riverton Volunteer Fire Department was one of the first BLS unit in the Springfield region and this apparatus (3F38) appears in front of old fire station one.
