Training is a vital part of any job and as a volunteer fire department that is no different. Training is said to save lives and we prepare for the worse. Training for us consist of both classroom and hands on material. Fire training includes: structure fire scenarios, live burns, propane training (pictured to the left), ropes and knots, RIT, pumping operations, water rescue and recovery, vehicle extrication and much more. EMS is also a vital part of Riverton's core objectives. In the past 3 years we have increased the level of care from a Basic Level EMS to a Advanced (Paramedic) Level EMS and with this we become more prepared by increasing our training in both time spent and core content. This training includes: Cardiac Emergencies (Pictured below left), Anaphylaxis Reactions, Breathing Emergencies, and much more. Pictures from some of our training classes can be found in the photos and photo archives section.
